Various Southeastern routes

Description

Overnight engineering work is taking place at various locations on the Southeastern network, closing some lines overnight from Monday to Thursday. 

These changes may be subject to further alteration on some days, such as starting earlier, or not taking place at all. Please check your journey using the Journey Planner,  and also check other items on our engineering pages for the date of your journey.

Mondays only:

Every Monday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines between Ashford International and Ramsgate via Canterbury West.

From 23:50 until the end of service, buses replace trains between Ashford International and Canterbury West / Ramsgate. 

Mondays and Tuesdays:

Every Monday and Tuesday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines to and from London Charing Cross.  

There will be no trains at London Charing Cross or Waterloo East from approximately 23:30 until the end of service. 

Trains will run from London Cannon Street instead, and you will need to travel to / from London Cannon Street / London Bridge. 

Tuesdays only:

Every Tuesday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines between Faversham and Ramsgate via Margate.  

From 23:30 until the end of service, buses replace trains between Faversham and Margate / Ramsgate. 

Wednesdays and Thursdays 

Every Wednesday and Thursday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines to / from London Cannon Street.

There will be no trains at London Cannon Street from approximately 23:35 until the end of service. 

Trains will run to / from London Charing Cross instead, if you could please make your way to London Bridge for these trains.

Description

Engineering work is taking place between West Ealing and Greenford (Saturday) and between London Paddington and Hanwell (Sunday), closing various lines.

Elizabeth line:

No services are affected on Saturday.

Sunday:

Services between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 / Heathrow Terminal 4 will run to a reduced timetable of 2 trains per hour.

Services between London Paddington and Hayes & Harlington will run to a reduced timetable of 4 trains per hour.

No trains will call at Acton Main Line, West Ealing or Hanwell. You can use your ticket on nearby London Underground services instead.

Great Western Railway:

Saturday:

No trains will run between West Ealing and Greenford. You can use your tickets on London Bus services.

Sunday:

Long distance services:

After 10:00, most trains between London Paddington and Swansea will be retimed to run up to 7 minutes earlier than usual.

Trains between London Paddington and South West England will be retimed to depart earlier or later than usual.

Local services:

Between 09:30 and 20:30, trains that usually run between London Paddington and Didcot Parkway will be amended to run between Reading and Didcot Parkway. You can use alternative rail connections between Reading and London Paddington.

Great Western Railway between Bristol Temple Meads / Swindon / Westbury and Frome / Warminster / Weymouth

Description

Engineering work is taking place in the Westbury area, closing various lines on Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

Saturday:

The 23:11 Bristol Temple Meads to Frome service will terminate at Westbury. A replacement bus will run from Westbury to Frome.

Sunday:

The 07:55 Westbury to Warminster service will not run. No alternative provided.

The 08:11 Warminster to Swindon service will not run and will be replaced by earlier road transport from Warminster, Dilton Marsh, Westbury, Trowbridge and Melksham to Chippenham. Rail connections are available between Chippenham and Swindon.

The 08:45 Westbury to Cardiff Central service will depart later than normal, and will terminate at Bristol Temple Meads. A separate train will operate from Bristol Temple Meads to Cardiff Central. No connection between the two trains.

The 09:05 Westbury to Weymouth service will operate later than normal throughout.

The 09:14 Swindon to Westbury will not run and will be replaced by road transport from Chippenham to Melksham, Trowbridge and Westbury. Earlier rail connections are available between Swindon and Chippenham.

The 13:41 Swindon to Weymouth service will start from Chippenham. Earlier rail connections are available between Swindon and Chippenham.

Sunday:

The 00:33 London Paddington to Reading service will not call at Burnham or Taplow. Replacement buses will run between Slough and Burnham / Taplow.

The following trains will not call at Burnham (no trains are scheduled to run to / from Taplow on Sundays):

The 18:37 Plymouth to Cardiff Central service will terminate at Bristol Temple Meads. Rail connections are available between Bristol Temple Meads and Cardiff Central.

The 20:23 Portsmouth Harbour to Cardiff Central service will terminate at Bristol Temple Meads. A replacement bus will run from Bristol Temple Meads to Cardiff Central.

The 22:00 Cardiff Central to Bristol Temple Meads service will be replaced by a bus.

The 22:47 Cardiff Central to Bristol Temple Meads service will be replaced by a bus.

Sunday:

The 08:58 Bristol Parkway to Swansea service will not run. An earlier replacement bus will run from Bristol Parkway to Newport for rail connections towards Cardiff Central.

Engineering work is taking place between Swanley and Rochester, closing all lines.

Sole Street Line: Trains between London Victoria and Ramsgate or Dover Priory via Faversham will be diverted between London Victoria and Rochester to run via Dartford and Strood. Stopping services between London Victoria and Gillingham which usually run via Denmark Hill will not run.  Additional trains will run between London Victoria and Bromley South via Denmark Hill. 

Maidstone East Line: Trains between London Victoria and Ramsgate via Maidstone East will stop additionally at St Mary Cray 

Replacement buses will run between Swanley and Strood calling at all stations except Sole Street. A Minibus shuttle will run between Meopham and Sole Street.

Thameslink services to / from Sevenoaks will be amended to run to / from London Victoria.

Saturday:

All routes to / from London St Pancras International

Description

Engineering work is taking place at various locations on the East Midlands Railway network, closing various lines.

An amended timetable will be in operation all weekend with a reduced service frequency and extended journey times.

All weekend, train services will be unable to call at Market Harborough, with rail replacement buses provided between Kettering and Market Harborough and Market Harborough and Leicester in both directions and  operating every 20 minutes.  

Saturday

Only Corby services will call at stations between London St Pancras International and Wellingborough, you will need to change at Wellingborough for connections.

In addition to this, the 21:45 London St Pancras International to Sheffield service will terminate at Derby, with a rail replacement bus service provided through to Chesterfield and Sheffield.

The 22:32 London St Pancras International to Derby service will no longer call at Beeston or Nottingham, a rail replacement bus service will be provided.

The first two southbound services from Corby are replaced by buses between Corby and Wellingborough, from where they connect into train services for onward travel south.

The 03:40 Derby to London St Pancras International will not call at Long Eaton.

The 03:54 Derby to London St Pancras International will not call at Long Eaton or Nottingham, a rail replacement buses will be provided, connecting into each train at East Midlands Parkway.

Sunday

Most Corby services will only operate between London St Pancras International and Wellingborough, you will need to change at Wellingborough for connections.

 In addition to this, the 08:23 Sheffield to London St Pancras International will start from Derby at 08:23, with a replacement bus from Sheffield and Chesterfield connecting into the train at Derby.

The 07:24 Notingham to London St Pancras International service will start from East Midlands Parkway at 07:05, with a replacement bus will run from Nottingham connecting into the train.
